Why I consider myself a hacker

Let's start off by saying that the term "hacker" is often misused by the media. It was heavily influenced by the facts that happened in the mid 80's when people like Kevin Mittnick felt right to get into systems owned by telephone companies and mess up with all the accounts in the database.
I think that the best lines that best describe how the mind of a "hacker" are the ones depicted in the hackers manifesto.

Please read that before going on with this text.

Right, my is that of curiosity, of trying to understand how something works, about everything that surrounds me. There are obviously some exceptions... there's no way to know everything in the universe (and that was something I found strange when I was younger...)

When I was really young (I was 4) my father took me to the USA for a summer tour, but I couldn't understand what the people said, and the same thing happened when I was 6 and we travelled again. I was frustrated by that fact, and I decided I had to learn english in order to get familiar with what while all the other boys had to be constrained by their parents, I wanted to go to english courses on my own, and my parents were happy for me.
